İrem Apak (b.1998, İstanbul/Turkey) is a multidisciplinary artist using visual arts as a form of storytelling. Constantly shapeshifting as her surroundings and findings evolve, Apak’s research is driven by her interest in topics such as natural environments, metamorphoses, and genetic mutations. Combining plastic and digital medias like video, sculpture, installation, glass, and canvas, she merges organic and inorganic elements to create an artificial fauna.
